This was an unexpectedly fast release. The users were still having their hands on testing 10049 and some were still on build 10041. Well, the company doesn't seem to slow down but accelerating the development instead and throwing Technical Preview builds one after another. These previews are not fully functional though, yet users are welcome to test latest build Windows 10 Pro ISO build 10051.
Let me remind you not to test these previews on your production machine. Rather test them on an extra computer or use a virtual machine software which is a better idea. Mail and Calendar app is most prominent app in this build. There is no major change other than the new theme. The new white theme is applied to this app. However, this app is still not usable practically. Most probably it would be integrated with Microsoft Outlook account rather than an open mail client. The look tells it would be a nice app with even more useful features.
Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 have a file picker. In this build, that file picker has replaced with a new file open/save dialog box. It looks more charming than the traditional file picker. There are no major features to notice but the new UI of the dialog box.
Internet Explorer, though not the future of Microsoft browser, yet it has got some attention in this build. IE got some GUI improvements. Not remarkable but some areas are retouched to adopt the new color scheme of Win10. It looks like Microsoft has plans to keep IE in Windows 10 too. Actually IE deserves this favor for its long term services and loyalty.
Project Spartan has already got the position of IE by becoming the default browser. But it's still under development and lacks a lot of features including extensions. So the users might use it only for browsing experience. It has not enough features to be used as a browser for working. It would be upgraded with many modern features but not in this build. Users accustomed to IE can still use IE for better browsing than Spartan. In fact, uses can continue with Internet Explorer until the final version of Spartan comes to Windows 10.
