[box] Fix if Windows 10 build 10061 Enterprise and Pro not activated by default and ask for activation product keys.[/box]
Windows 10 build 10061 is an official release by Microsoft in April. It’s out to test for Windows Insider program users. Besides known and unknown bugs, another strange issue is irritating users that asks to activate build 10061. This activation issue can appear on Windows 10 Enterprise and Pro versions.
The following error message appears when product keys are entered manually:
The product key you have entered appears to be a default product key and cannot be used for activation.
This is Windows activation issue that is annoying for users who installed 10061 build. The earlier technical preview versions were safe from such activation issue. No matter you upgrade via Windows Update center or perform a clean installation of Windows 10 with ISO file, the problem remain there.
Some users might have decided to ignore this and live with restricted features of Windows 10 Technical Preview build 10061. But that’s not like a good insider program member, and it doesn’t make sense to use a inactivated copy of Windows when it’s free to activate. Besides all this, if you are afraid how to go through activation process that seems faulty by default, then you’ll surely be glad to know it’s not a tough issue. You just need to copy and paste a single line and the issue will be solved. Let’s see how to do this.
How to Activate Windows 10 build 10061 Enterprise and Pro?
- Open elevated Command Prompt (i.e. open Command Prompt as administrator)
- Now type the following command (you can copy and paste):
For Win10 Enterprise edition
slmgr.vbs -ipk PBHCJ-Q2NYD-2PX34-T2TD6-233PK
For Win10 Pro edition
NKJFK-GPHP7-G8C3J-P6JXR-HQRJR
- Hit Enter key.
Most probably, your Windows 10 build 10061 will be activated instantly. If it doesn’t, then Restart the computer and the Windows will be activated.
